Breslyn’s Blankets of Love
Breslyn’s Blankets of Love was a program created by one of our grant recipients. It aims to ensure every child battling cancer feels comforted and safe, whether at home or in the hospital. We are honored to support this program, which provides children with their very own blanket — each one made by hand, with love.

Breslyn’s Story
Breslyn, the inspiration behind Breslyn’s Blankets of Love, was diagnosed with leukemia at 3 years old. She was scared and confused. When sitting in the hospital, coping with treatment and tired from her daily fight, she would ask for one thing—a blanket. Something she could wrap herself inside and feel warm. The blanket was like a warm hug, comforting and secure.
Breslyn continues to fight her disease. For kids like Breslyn, every day is a battle and a journey. Founded by Breslyn’s mother, Laura, we are dedicated to making that journey a little easier, a little happier, by providing blankets made with love to every child in need.
We are based in Des Moines, Iowa, but do not limit our help to our state. No matter where you are in the US, at home or in the hospital, we want to join your journey and help any child looking for a little love. If your child, or a child you know, could benefit from a Blanket of Love, please contact us to request a blanket!
Family Advisory Board
The Family Advisory Board, established by FCN, plays a vital role in raising awareness and enhancing our support programming. Collaborating closely with the FCN Board of Directors, this advisory board identifies crucial programs and services to best support patients and families dealing with the challenges of blood or pediatric cancer diagnosis.
